9.1 Update under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025
The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA) became law when it received Royal Assent on 19 June 2025. From that date, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is updating the rules on cookies and similar technologies through the Data (Use and Access) Act.
Full implementation is expected by the end of June 2026.
